CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 10-47 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION <br />CONTRACT, PINE STREET PAVING IMPROVEMENTS <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of Pine Street Paving <br />Improvements, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following <br />bids were received complying with the advertisement: <br />Contractor Amount of Bid <br />Rum River Contracting $ 259,036.57 <br />North Valley, Inc $ 263,358.07 <br />Harddrives $ 263,573.72 <br />Knife River Corp.. $ 264,443.76 <br />GMH Asphalt $ 265,558.20 <br />TA Schifsky & Sons Inc. $ 295,904.00 <br />Engineer's Estimate $ 315,410.00 <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that Rum River Contracting is the lowest responsible bidder; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LINO <br />LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Rum <br />River Contracting, in the name of the City of Lino Lakes for the construction of the Pine <br />Street Paving Improvements Project according to the plans and specifications approved by <br />the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. The City of Lino Lakes accepting <br />bids and awarding a contract is contingent on a similar approval by the City of Columbus., <br />the City of Columbus will consider accepting bids and awarding a contract at their May 26, <br />2010 City Council Meeting <br />2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the <br />deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next <br />lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br />Jeff Reinert, Mayor <br />Julianne Bartell, City Clerk <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 24th day of May, 2010. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council Member <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: <br />The following voted against same: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
