Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />RESOLUTION NO. 10 -47 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND RECOMMENDING AWARDING A <br />CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT, PINE STREET PAVING IMPROVEMENTS <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of Pine Street Paving <br />Improvements, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following <br />bids were received complying with the advertisement: <br />Contractor Amount of Bid <br />Rum River Contracting $ 259,036.57 <br />North Valley, Inc $ 263,358.07 <br />Harddrives $ 263,573.72 <br />Knife River Corp.. $ 264,443.76 <br />GMH Asphalt $ 265,558.20 <br />TA Schifsky & Sons Inc. $ 295,904.00 <br />Engineer's Estimate $ 315,410.00 <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that Rum River Contracting is the lowest responsible bidder; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LINO <br />LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br />1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby recommending the City of Columbus to enter into a contract <br />with Rum River Contracting, in the name of the City of Lino Lakes for the construction of the <br />Pine Street Paving Improvements Project according to the plans and specifications approved <br />by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. The City of Columbus <br />accepted bids and awarded a contract at their May 26th meeting contingent on a similar <br />approval by the City Lino Lakes. <br />Jeff Reinert, Mayor <br />Julianne Bartell, City Clerk <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 7th day of June, 2010. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council Member <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: <br />The following voted against same: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
