The outcome of the
hearing was that the dog was declared a dangerous dog and it could stay at your house
but you must meet the criteria set out by the council that evening.
On Tuesday evening an Officer of the Lino Lakes Police Department took a
report documenting a dog bite that occurred at approximately noon on Tuesday
November 9, 2010. Your dog Brodie inflicted a bite on Christopher Hanson that you had
allowed into your home. Your dog bit the man in the hand leaving 2 puncture wounds.
This bite is considered a subsequent bite per the city ordinance (503.16(4)) and thus the
animal was seized and is currently being held at the designated facility. Per ordinance this
dog is to be destroyed in a proper and humane manner and you as the owner shall pay the
cost of confining the animal.
The city ordinance states that you have 14 days from the above listed date to
appeal this order by contacting the Lino Lakes City Clerk.
Chief Kent Strege
Lino Lakes Police Department
