• <br />• <br />• <br />* he was delivering furniture today to 1366 Wolf Cir. <br />* he was inside the house with the homeowner [Andra Sawh] <br />* he went down stairs to look at where the furniture was going to be placed <br />* the dog at the residence was in the basement which he didn't know <br />* when he went down to the basement, the dog came out of its kennel [the door was open] <br />* the dog came toward him <br />* the owner heard the dog and came down and told him not to move <br />* the dog bit him in the left hand before the owner could get the dog away from him <br />* the owner was very upset about what happened and seemed really afraid about telling her <br />husband what happened <br />* she showed him the rabies vaccination papers <br />* it happened around noon today <br />* he went to the hospital to get his hand checked out <br />Other Statements: Mitchell Sawh stated: <br />* his wife made a careless mistake <br />* he understands why the dog has to be impounded <br />* he is willing to drive the dog out to New York state where it originated from so it can be with its <br />siblings if that is an option <br />Disposition: The Sawh's dog was impounded at OLAH pending final disposition of the dangerous <br />dog violations. <br />DH /LH <br />SUPPLEMENT OFFICER: RKEW WILLS, KRISTEN <br />Case #10- 258649 <br />CSO Wills // 253 <br />Lino Lakes Police <br />11/9/10 <br />Supplement Report <br />Officer's Actions/ Observations: <br />* I received information from Officer Steve Wagener that a dog bite had occured at 1366 Wolf Circle <br />at approximately 1200 that afternoon. <br />*The dog at this location has had two recorded dog bites in 2010 (see ICR #10- 075361 & 10- <br />238471). <br />* Dog was declared dangerous by the Lino Lakes City Council on November 8, 2010. <br />* During the hearing on November 8, 2010, owner was advised by the Lino Lakes City Council that <br />their dog was deemed a dangerous dog and they must follow all requirements in Lino Lakes City <br />Ordinance 503.16. <br />* Provided Mitchell Sawh with a copy of the city ordinance for dangerous dog requirements on <br />November 8, 2010. <br />* I arrived at 1366 Wolf Circle with Officer Wagener. <br />* Met with the dog's owner, Andra Sawh. <br />* Advised Sawh that due to two previous bite incidents and a subsequent bit after the dog was <br />deemed dangerous, the dog needed to be seized and quarentined immediately. <br />* Asked Sawh to muzzle and transport the dog, while following us in her own vehicle, to Otter Lake <br />Animal Hospital. <br />* Sawh advised us she was uncomfortable attempting to muzzle and transport the dog. <br />* Sawh stated that her son, Raun, and husband, Mitchell, would be back in an hour and would be <br />able to transport the dog. <br />* Returned to the home and met with Mitchell, Raun, and Christine Sawh. <br />* Advised Mitchell Sawh that the dog would be held for the 14 day period in which they were <br />allowed to make an appeal to the city council. <br />* Advised Mitchell Sawh that after the 14 day period if an appeal has not been made, the dog would <br />be ordered to be destroyed. <br />* Mitchell Sawh stated that his brother in New York would take the dog so it would not be destroyed. <br />
