•
•
WS — Item 2—
WORK SESSION STAFF REPORT
Work Session Item 2—
Date: 22 November 2010
To: City Council
From: Daniel Tesch, Director of Administration
Re: Code of Conduct
Background
Earlier this fall, the city council met with the charter commission for a joint meeting. At
this meeting, the charter commission proposed a code of conduct for the counci to
consider adopting. I am enclosing the following:
1. Section 12.03 — Code of Conduct located in the city charter
2. Section 204 — Code of Conduct located in the city code
3. The Lino Lakes City Council Code of Conduct adopted by the council in 2006
4. The proposed Code of Conduct presented by the charter commission
It was my understanding that the 2006 Council Code of Conduct lacked a section
pertaining to "conflict of interest ". I have prepared a draft Code of Conflict that takes the
2006 version and adds the "conflict of interest" section of the document presented by the
charter commission.
Requested Council Direction
Council needs to inform staff if the draft presented is sufficient, or if staff needs to
prepare additional revisions.
Attachment(s)
1. Section 12.03 — Code of Conduct located in the city charter
—5—
1
