STAFF ORIGNINATOR: <br />MEETING DATE: <br />TOPIC: <br />VOTE REQUIRED: <br />AGENDA ITEM 1B <br />Jean Viger, Deputy Clerk <br />January 23, 2006 <br />Consider Resolution No. 06 -05, Approving <br />Application for Temporary On -Sale Liquor License <br />for Lino Lakes Lions Club <br />Simple Majority (3/5 Vote) <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Lino Lakes Lions Club has scheduled its annual prime rib dinner for Saturday, March 4, <br />2006 to be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 171 Elm Street. The Lino Lakes Lions Club is <br />requesting approval of a 1 to 4 Day Temporary On -Sale Liquor License application. The license <br />is necessary to allow the Lions Club to mix and dispense liquor that will be served as part of the <br />dinner. <br />The applicant is required to submit an application to the city, for approval, at least 30 days prior <br />to the event and City policy requires a background investigation on the CEO each time a permit <br />or license application is received. The Lino Lakes Police Department has completed the <br />background check and has found no reason to deny the license. <br />A copy of the application, a copy of the certificate of liquor liability insurance and the results of <br />the background check are on file in the city clerk's office. <br />OPTIONS: <br />1.
