• <br />Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved <br />its adoption: <br />CITY OF LINO LAKES <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 06 -05 <br />APPROVING LINO LAKES LIONS CLUB APPLICATION FOR A <br />1 TO 4 DAY TEMPORARY ON -SALE LIQUOR LICENSE <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute, Section 340, allows the city council to issue a <br />temporary on -sale liquor license to a non - profit organization in connection with a social <br />event sponsored by the licensee and held within the city limits; and <br />WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes Lions Club has submitted an application to hold a <br />fundraising event at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 171 Elm Street, on March 4, 2006; and <br />WHEREAS, the Lino Lakes Lions Club has paid the required fee, and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lino Lakes has conducted an investigation of the Lino Lakes <br />Lions Club, and <br />WHEREAS, the Alcohol & Gambling Enforcement Division requires the application be <br />approved by the City of Lino Lakes City Council before submitting for approval to the <br />liquor control board. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Lino Lakes City Council hereby <br />approves the request of the Lino Lakes Lions Club for a temporary on -sale liquor license. <br />ATTEST: <br />John J. Bergeson, Mayor <br />Julianne Bartell, City Clerk <br />Adopted by the Lino Lakes City Council this 23rd day of January, 2006 <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council <br />Member and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in <br />favor thereof: <br />The following voted against same: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
