Planning & Zoning Board
December 14, 2005
Page 4
APPROVED MINUTES
into the area. He indicated this was a ni ce building, but he belie ved it could go farther
than what they had so far.

Vice Chair Tralle opened the public hearing at 6:52 p.m.

Vice Chair Tralle invited applicant to make comment.

Mike Cashman, 1772 Midway Road, Wisconsin, representing Keller, stated originally
they followed the specs from the City of Li no Lakes and then in August the City changed
its specs and they changed their plan. He noted they met all of the criteria that the City
was looking for. He indicated they were on a cul-de-sac and not on a main street as their
neighbors were. He noted they would not see a lot of the building from the main road.

Mr. Rafferty stated he agreed with the cul-de -sac observation. He asked if he believed
they were putting in something comparable as the existing neighbors. He asked if
Summit had seen their plans. Mr. Cashman re sponded Summit had seen their plans. He
noted the back of Summit’s building was facing the front of theirs.

Mr. Hyden inquired about the location of the trash enclosure. Mr. Bengston stated the
location could be worked out as a later time, but they wanted it clos er to the building and
not open to the cul-de-sac.

Mr. Cashman responded he did not have any problem with that.

Mr. Hyden asked where the tires would be stored. Mr. Cashman responded all tires
would be stored inside the building.

Mr. Pogalz asked if tractor trailers would be parked at any one time outside of the
building. Mr. Cashman responded that would vary depending on the day, but in most
instances, the vehicles would be serviced th e same day and would be gone by night fall.
He noted there might be a few instances once in awhile where a vehicle would be on the
lot overnight to be serviced the next day.

Mr. Tralle asked if all old tire storage would also be inside. Mr. Cashman responded they
would be.

Mr. Rafferty asked if they would move their trash enclosure to the north side of the
building. Mr. Cashman responded they could move it there.

Mr. Rafferty asked what would ha ppen to the trash enclosure if they put on their addition.
Mr. Cashman responded they would either ha ve to consider movi ng it, or putting it
inside.

Mr. Laden asked if they would want to stre ngthen their entrance for easier public access.
He indicated the front of this building lacked this. He requested the applicant think about
this.

Mr. Nelson agreed and noted an entran ce more inviting would go a long way.
