Tart Lake Road is classified as a Minor Collector from <br />Otter Lake Road to Clearwater Creek Drive. The remainder of Tart Lake Road from Clearwater <br />Creek Drive to 24th Avenue is classified as a Local Street. Tart Lake Road has a posted speed <br />limit of 30 MPH. <br /> <br />In response to the speeding concerns raised by the residents the City ordered traffic counts and a <br />speed study of Tart Lake from Otter Lake Road to 24th Avenue. On August 13-15, 2013 traffic <br />speed and volume data was collected in three locations along Tart Lake Road. The locations <br />where the data was taken are shown on the attached map. A summary of the data collected is as <br />follows: <br /> <br />West End: <br />Total Vehicles = 4,706 <br />AADT = 2,353 <br />85th Percentile = 30-35 MPH <br />Number of vehicles exceeding the speed limit by 5 MPH or more = 120 <br /> <br />Middle: <br />Total Vehicles = 2,589 <br />AADT = 1,295 <br />85th Percentile = 30-35 MPH <br />Number of vehicles exceeding the speed limit by 5 MPH or more = 259 <br /> <br />East End: <br />Total Vehicles = 1,957 <br />AADT = 979 <br />85th Percentile = 25-30 MPH <br />Number of vehicles exceeding the speed limit by 5 MPH or more = 9 <br /> <br /> <br />St. Cloud  Minneapolis  St. Paul <br />Equal Opportunity Employer <br /> wsbeng.com <br />
