• <br />• <br />• <br />• There still is a "lot to do" in furtherance of the achievement of the <br />goals the council had adopted in 2004; <br />• Overall, the council and city administration are "on track" in <br />addressing issues of extreme importance to the future of the City of <br />Lino Lakes; <br />• A lot was accomplished, but a number of items still need to be carried <br />forward in the Management Action Plan for 2006 -2007; <br />• Resource limitations (funding primarily) necessitated having to <br />postpone or scale back on some of the council's expectations relative <br />to goal and objectives achievement. <br />Participants identified the following items that needed to be carried <br />forward from the 2005 -06 plan into the 2006 -07 Goals and Management <br />Action Plan: <br />• Funding for YMCA <br />• Funding for Lake Drive <br />• Establishing gateway structures <br />• I -35E Plans, Joint Powers Agreement, and Interchange Improvements <br />• Adopt a Redevelopment and Revitalization Plan <br />• Diversify, expand, and enhance the city's tax base <br />• Recreation: <br />o Priority parks and trail projects <br />o Recreation complex property <br />• Complete Visioning Process <br />• Complete Comprehensive Plan Update <br />B. Goals and Objectives for Management Action Plan: 2006 -2007 <br />1. Goals and objectives carried forward from the 2005 -2006 Goals <br />and Management Action Plan that do not require further council <br />guidance or policy direction to the city staff. <br />A number of the goals objectives contained in the Goals and <br />Management Action Plan: 2005 -2006 will be carried forward to <br />completion to 2006 by city staff following guidance given to the <br />staff previously by the city council. <br />2. Goals and objectives carried forward from 2005 -2006 that still <br />require city council direction, policy setting, and leadership <br />guidance to the city's staff. <br />
