• • • • There still is a "lot to do" in furtherance of the achievement of the goals the council had adopted in 2004; • Overall, the council and city administration are "on track" in addressing issues of extreme importance to the future of the City of Lino Lakes; • A lot was accomplished, but a number of items still need to be carried forward in the Management Action Plan for 2006 -2007; • Resource limitations (funding primarily) necessitated having to postpone or scale back on some of the council's expectations relative to goal and objectives achievement. Participants identified the following items that needed to be carried forward from the 2005 -06 plan into the 2006 -07 Goals and Management Action Plan: • Funding for YMCA • Funding for Lake Drive • Establishing gateway structures • I -35E Plans, Joint Powers Agreement, and Interchange Improvements • Adopt a Redevelopment and Revitalization Plan • Diversify, expand, and enhance the city's tax base • Recreation: o Priority parks and trail projects o Recreation complex property • Complete Visioning Process • Complete Comprehensive Plan Update B. Goals and Objectives for Management Action Plan: 2006 -2007 1. Goals and objectives carried forward from the 2005 -2006 Goals and Management Action Plan that do not require further council guidance or policy direction to the city staff. A number of the goals objectives contained in the Goals and Management Action Plan: 2005 -2006 will be carried forward to completion to 2006 by city staff following guidance given to the staff previously by the city council. 2. Goals and objectives carried forward from 2005 -2006 that still require city council direction, policy setting, and leadership guidance to the city's staff.
