Mr. Grochala replied staff was comfor table with the proposal. <br />Mr. Corson made a MOTION to recommend appr oval of the CUP subject to the twelve <br />(12) conditions as noted in staff’s A ugust 13, 2003 report, and was supported by Mr. <br />Tralle. Motion carried 5-0. <br />H. PUBLIC HEARING, Woodstone Builders, Inc., Apollo Center, SE corner of <br />Apollo Dr. and Lilac St., Conditional Use Permit <br />Chair Schaps opened the public hearing at 1:16 a.m. <br />Mr. Thompson stated applicant is proposi ng to construct a sm all strip mall of 15,763 <br />square feet on the SE property at the intersec tion of Apollo Drive and Lilac Street. The <br />Lino Lakes Comprehensive Plan designates this area as commercial. Staff noted <br />applicant is proposing to construct a small st rip mall on the south end of this triangular- <br />shaped lot. The mall would include an au to repair shop of approximately 3,100 square <br />feet with attached retail sp ace to the east of approximately 12,663 square feet. The strip <br />mall and auto repair business would be located on the back side of the lot with parking to <br />the north and south. Staff presented thei r analysis and recommended approving the <br />conditional use permit subject to the condit ions as noted in their August 13, 2003 report. <br />He stated staff would work with the deve loper on the color scheme of the building. <br />Mr. Tralle asked if the home located on this property would be removed. Mr. Grochala <br />replied it would be demolished. He pointed out there would not be two Precision Tune <br />franchises in this area, even though the pr evious approval also approved a Precision <br />Tune. <br />Chair Schaps invited appl icant to make comment. <br />Charles Skarphol, Woodstone Builders, stated it would be decided by Friday which area <br />the Precision Tune would be located at. <br />Chair Schaps inquired about the color of the banding. Mr. Skarphol re plied it would be a <br />forest green color, not lime gr een as depicted on the drawing. <br />Chair Schaps invited anyone for or ag ainst this proposal to make comment. <br />There were no comments either for or against this proposal. <br />Mr. Corson made a MOTION to close the public hearing at 1:25 a.m., and was supported <br />by Mr. Tralle. Motion carried 5-0. <br />Mr. Corson made a MOTION to recommend approval of the conditional use subject to <br />the three (3) conditions adding the condition that developer work with staff on the <br />exterior colors of the bu ilding as noted in staff’s August 13, 2003 report, and was <br />supported by Mr. Rafferty. Motion carried 5-0.
