STAFF ORIGINATOR: Paul Bengtson CC MEETING DATE: May 8, 2006 TOPIC: Resolution No. 06 -72 Conditional Use Permit Amendment Rehbein Transit VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 BACKGROUND Rehbein Transportation is proposing an 8 foot x 100 foot awning addition to the north side of the existing facilities at 6298 Hodgson Road. The Rehbein property is covered by a conditional use permit for the existing bus transit center. Building additions such as those proposed in this application require an amendment to the Conditional Use Permit. Construction of the addition was begun prior to the issuance of the appropriate building permits or this application and was stopped by the City of Lino Lakes Building Department. No further construction has taken place after the first warning was issued by a building inspector. Under the new zoning ordinance, the site plan review is done administratively. However, a Conditional Use Permit amendment is necessary, and a site plan review is part of the CUP review. Therefore the comments for the Site Plan Review will be included in this report. Because this application involves the CUP amendment, it is also appropriate to review the conditions placed on the site through the last CUP amendment in 1999.
