Reserve Officer Unit <br />The Lino Lakes Police Department Reserve Officer Unit continued their longstanding dedication to <br />community service by providing 1,996 volunteer hours to the Police Department. Reserve Officers <br />assist at school carnivals and DARE graduations. They represent the department by: <br />Assisting the cities of Blaine, Coon Rapids, Anoka and Mounds View <br />with their annual festivals. <br />Assisting with National Night Out, Safety Camp, and St. Joseph's <br />carnival. <br />Providing traffic direction for Sno- Baron's Hay Day races. <br />Performing business checks on weekends and evening hours <br />Providing assistance for the Turtleman Triathlon race. <br />Reserve Officers are trained in first aid, officer safety, defensive tactics, use of force, weapons <br />training, vehicle lockouts, report writing, and use of police radios and other equipment. <br />Lino Lakes Police Department 2005 Annual Report 22 <br />
