Approach 9 Identification The agenda for this meeting would include: • Review of community input from the online polls • Debriefing on major themes from the first session to capture relevant future local and global trends that could impact Lino Lakes • Initial vision discussion —how do we want to define Lino Lakes in 2030 • Identify strength, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT analysis) • Test and modify initial vision concepts • Frame strategic issues using short- and long- term time horizons Community Outreach The primary objectives of outreach efforts will be to provide a brief overview of themes emerging through the environmental scan and to obtain feedback on the preliminary vision developed by the Strategic Planning Task Force. Recommended minimum activities include: Feedback Review Council Review and Adoption of the Vision • Articles in the City's newsletters • Cable television programming • Information on the web sites • Four town meetings held in different City locations facilitated by community members or Springsted • Targeted focus groups Optional activities can include but are not limited to: • Additional Town meetings with audience participation technology • Key informant interviews with strategic partners • Intercept (person -on- the - street) interviews designed to get feedback from hard -to -reach audiences • Interactive web site that allows residents to react to information and respond to specific questions The Strategic Planning Task Force reviews and summarizes feedback received in the community outreach activities and uses this information to refine the preliminary vision in a four hour facilitated meeting. The Strategic Planning Task Force presents its work, including a summary of community feedback and a preliminary vision to the City Council in a two -hour meeting. Lino Lakes, NGnnesota.
