Tiffany and Chad Borsheim 554 Lois Lane Lino Lakes, MN 55014 City of Lino Lakes RE: Lois Lane Utility Assessments June 26th, 2006 To Whom It May Concern: As the owners we hereby object to the proposed city assessment for the property of 554 Lois Lane based on the following reasons: 1. A connection to city sanitation and water services currently provides no benefit to the existing house at 554 Lois Lane. 2. Based on research, we have found the property value of the existing house at 554 Lois Lane would not increase enough to justify a connection to city sanitation and water services. 3. Our mound system was $12,000. 4. Our mound system is less than 5 years old. 5. Our well system is working very well. 6. City sanitation and water services are not being installed for health purposes. For the above reasons we are requesting our mound and well systems be grandfathered in, in our formal objection, we are requesting that the existing house at 554 Lois Lane is not assessed for the city sanitation and water services until the current mound system fails. In this request, we would like to include that even if the property of 554 Lois Lane were split into two lots, the new lot would be required to connect to the city sanitation and water services and would be assessed for the cost of city sanitation and water services. In addition if the property were split into two lots, the existing house at 554 Lois Lane would not be required to hook up to the city sanitation and water services nor would it be assessed for the cost of city sanitation and water services until the current mound or well system fails.
