COUNCIL MINUTES <br />DRAFT <br />OCTOBER 23, 2006 <br />1 rights to a hearing and waives their rights to appeal under the Lino Lakes City Charter and/or <br />2 Minnesota Statute 429 provided that the assessment associated with the improvement is levied against <br />0 3 their properties. The City is prepared to adopt the assessments for the individual properties that <br />4 requested connection to City utilities. <br />5 <br />6 Council Member O'Donnell moved to approve Resolution No. 06 -163, as presented. Council <br />7 Member Reinert seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />8 <br />9 Consideration of Resolution No. 164 to 170, Adopting Special Assessments for Developer and <br />10 Improvement Projects — City Engineer Studenski noted a list of development projects that are <br />11 substantially complete, and therefore City staff is prepared to adopt the assessments accordingly. <br />12 Each developer has reviewed and approved the assessments, respectively. <br />13 <br />14 Council Member Stoltz moved to approve Resolution No.'s 06 -165 to 06 -170, as presented. Council <br />15 Member Carlson seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. <br />16 <br />17 UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />18 <br />19 There was no Unfinished Business. <br />20 <br />21 NEW BUSINESS <br />22 <br />23 Consider Approval of October 9, 2006 City Council Meeting Minutes (a portion of the meeting <br />24 was closed) Council Member Reinert was absent — Council member O'Donnell moved to approve <br />25 October 9, 2006 City Council Meeting Minutes, as presented. Council Member Carlson seconded the <br />26 motion. Motion carried with Council Member Reinert abstaining. <br />27 <br />28 Accepting Donation from Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 6583 to Defray Cost of Annual Safety <br />29 Camp, Julie Bartell — City Clerk Bartell advised the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 6583 had made a <br />. 30 contribution to the Centennial Fire District to defray the cost of the annual Safety Camp. In <br />31 remaining consistent with past practice, staff's recommendation is for the Council to accept the <br />32 donation of charitable gambling proceeds from the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post 6583 in the <br />33 amount of $1,000 and authorize the issuance of a check in the amount of $1,000 to the Centennial <br />34 Fire District to be used for the annual Safety Camp. <br />35 <br />36 Council Member Carlson moved to accept the donation of charitable gambling proceeds from the <br />37 Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 6583 in the amount of $1,000 and authorize the issuance of a check in <br />38 the amount of $1,000 to the Centennial Fire District to defray the cost of the annual Safety Camp, as <br />39 presented.
