Neu, Jr. <br />March 12, 2008 <br />L INTRODUCTION <br />On March 10 -11, 2008, the City Council, City Administrator, and Department <br />Directors of the City of Lino Lakes conducted a City Leadership Workshop. The <br />workshop conducted on March 10 was attended by four of the five City Council <br />members and the City Administrator. The workshop on March 11 consisted of <br />the entire City Council, City Administrator, and Department Directors. A copy of <br />the objectives and agenda for the workshop is attached to this report as Appendix <br />A. <br />II. KEY OBSERVATIONS AND CONCLUSIONS MADE BY THE <br />PARTICIPANTS <br />A. Discussions Pertaining to the City Council's Leadership Performance <br />and the City Council- Management Staff Performance Partnership <br />Based upon feedback received from the City Council members who <br />completed the Pre - Workshop Survey Questionnaire, and group comments <br />made by the management staff, the facilitator raised a series of <br />observations as outlined below: <br />1. Major Accomplishments: <br />While the City has had a history, at least from 2000, of deep <br />philosophical differences within the governing body and strained <br />council -staff relationships, things started to get significantly better <br />in late 2006 and 2007.
