MEMORANDUM
DATE: November 22, 1994
TO: Randy Schumacher, City Administrator
FROM: David J. Pecchia, Chief of Police 0
SUBJECT: Software Package
Randy, Renee has brought to my attention that various City
employees were given the OK to purchase the software package
"Office ". I will assume that the Technology Committee approved
that package.
All pirated programs have been deleted from our computers at the
police station and the only registered software package we
currently have is Word Perfect 6.0 which is used to input all our
Incident reports.
With the inception of the Alarm Ordinance, Renee is in need to
have some type of spreadsheet program. As "Office" has
spreadsheet capabilities, as well as, graphs, charts and various
other word processing features, I am asking permission if we can
purc software program, approximate cost would be less
than $300.0.. We would take the expenditure from the
"Profe • Services" fund.
I'll await your response.
Thank you
DJP:rk
7/1 (/-
