• Policy Alternatives For the Cancellation of Meetings <br />• <br />• <br />It is the policy of the City Council of Lino Lakes: <br />1. that the mayor shall have the authority to cancel a meeting (differentiate between <br />work sessions and regular meetings ?) of the city council in the cases that: <br />a) it is known that there will not be a quorum present at the meeting or <br />b) the content of the agenda does not constitute a need for a meeting. <br />and/or ? <br />2. that members of the city council may propose the cancellation of a meeting <br />(differentiate between work sessions and regular meetings ?) of the city council to <br />the city in writing in the case that: <br />a) the content of the agenda does not constitute a need for a meeting. <br />If the city clerk receives a proposal or proposals from individual council members <br />in writing to cancel a meeting, the city clerk shall inform all council members of <br />the proposal or proposals. If the city clerk receives written proposals to cancel a <br />meeting from three or more council members, the city clerk shall notify the mayor <br />who shall formally cancel the meeting. <br />
