9. Table 3 -1: I know that NO TWO CITIES are alike - - -but is there an average
composition of land use in the suburbs? I don't know how you compare - - -I see that
commercial is less than 1% now (future closer to 3 %) Open water and parks have a
huge percentage. From a marketing perspective how does Lino compare to the
average City? Can we use that to our advantage - -- our unique "value proposition"
for residential and commercial growth?
10.Table 3-4 -- -mixed use site characteristics - - -- Centerville Rd /CR J is 50/50 and
Centerville Rd /Birch at 80 /20 - - -how were these derived?
11. Reference was made in our plan as to the Twin City Army Ammunition Plant
(TCAAP) -- -page 4 -11. How much information were you actually able to attain from
the City of Arden Hills on the plans for the TCAAP? Is there a set timeline for
development? The plan also mentions that the demand for rental housing may
increase because of this development. Why in Lino Lakes?
12. Page 5 -5 -- -table 5 -2 from DEED I would like to see our City be proactive in getting
key growth industries into our City —DEED mentions that education /health services,
professional /business services and hospitality.
13. Page 5 -9 highlights the need for strong retail growth. Does our plan address this
need?
14. Employment. DEED has the City at around 4,000 now. Explain how we get to the
2030 number.
15. Lake Drive - -- development - - -is only the North side addressed?
16. What is the impact on the city if funding for transit remains constant in today's
dollars? The City is obviously dependent on outside funding - - -how do we influence
and get results ( I am sure that every City is asking this) for mass transit, Park and
Rides, Rush Line Corridor and Public Transit? How do we fulfill our plan /strategies?
17. Does the expansion of the Airport in Blaine have any impact on our comprehensive
plan? How does Blaine, if they are aggressive in the next 20 years, impact
us? same with Hugo?
18.The Lino Senior Center is mentioned in our facilities plan. Our we planning on the
same site with enhancements? Is there a plan?
19. Recreation Center —Goal 1: Is a timeframe needed for the plan or is the concept
ok?
20. Regional Library is mentioned in our facilities plan. Can you give us the details and
timeline as you know them today?
