Lino Lakes Hampton Inn & Suites 563 Apollo Drive, Lino Lakes, MN 55014 tel: 763.746.7999 <br />fax: 763.746.9409 <br />• <br />December 19, 2008 <br />Lino Lakes City Council, <br />SUBJECT: Resolution of support for the proposed local convention or <br />tourism bureau <br />The Hampton Inn & Suites Lino Lakes and the Country Inn & Suites Lino Lakes are <br />requesting that the City of Lino Lakes pass a resolution of support for the participation <br />in the proposed local convention or tourism bureau. The participation and development <br />of this bureau will assist in the generation of revenue for the Lino Lakes hotels and <br />surrounding businesses. <br />The bureau will be an organization of regional destination marketing. The bureau will <br />include the communities that are centered around the National Sports Center. The <br />stakeholders in this bureau are local cities, hotels and business owners. These <br />stakeholders would be the governing bodies in the prosperity and development of this <br />bureau. <br />The bureau is being developed around the assets the local communities have to offer. <br />The bureau will prepare and distribute marketing around these assets to draw people to <br />the area. The city of Lino Lakes will benefit through increase traffic to our city and our <br />local businesses. <br />As the hotels in the city of Lino Lakes, the development of this bureau will only increase <br />revenues. The bureau will concentrate on drawing groups, individuals and travelers to <br />the area for attractions such as events at Running Aces Harness Park, sporting events <br />at the National Sports Center and shopping at the local retailers.
