• <br />• <br />• <br />ONE YEAR ACTION PLAN PROGRAMS <br />LOCAL BUSINESS RETENTION AND EXPANSION PROGRAM <br />ACCOMPLISHED: <br />• EDAC business survey (2008) <br />• Schwan's relocation (2006) <br />• Chaired Quad Business Expo (2008) <br />• Birch Street Corridor Study underway (2009) <br />PURPOSE: <br />To provide an atmosphere of support and recognition of local <br />business and industry's contribution to Lino Lakes and to <br />encourage growth within the City. <br />TIME FRAME: Ongoing <br />STRATEGY: <br />1. Continue initiating regular contact with businesses in Lino Lakes to <br />develop a positive public /private relationship. <br />2. Direct prospective tenants to available leasable and for -sale space in <br />shopping centers and business parks. <br />3. Encourage the use of public incentives to move incompatible existing <br />businesses located within the city to compatible sites within Lino Lakes. <br />4. Continue updating the inventory of existing businesses for on -going <br />communications. <br />5. Continue updating the inventory of land and buildings that are for sale or <br />lease on the city's website. Make the site more visible. <br />6. Work with the local media to publicize achievements and contributions <br />of local businesses within the community. <br />7. Work with the local Chambers of Commerce to provide additional <br />support to local businesses. <br />9 <br />
