Additionally, the City is proposing to let property owners defer payment of the special <br />assessment until a later date, provided the property owner or the property meets certain <br />criteria. There are three types of deferrals: <br />1. Undeveloped /unplatted property <br />2. Senior citizen deferrals <br />3. Green acres <br />The terms, conditions, and standards of the deferrals would be set by the council in <br />conjunction with the adoption of the assessment role. In the case of undeveloped or <br />green acres properties, it is the intent that the assessments would be deferred until <br />development occurs on the property. <br />Representatives from SRF Consulting Group, Inc., will be at the meeting to present the <br />improvement report, the proposed assessments and address public comments. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff is recommending that the council open the public hearing, accept public testimony <br />and close the hearing. <br />2 <br />—49— <br />• <br />• <br />• <br />
