• <br />• <br />• <br />STAFF ORIGINATOR: <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MEETING DATE: <br />TOPIC: <br />AGENDA ITEM 6E <br />Michael Grochala <br />September 28, 2009 <br />Resolution No. 09 -74, Approving Change Order <br />No.18, Lake Drive /35W Improvement Project <br />VOTE REQUIRED: 3/5 Vote Required <br />BACKGROUND: <br />On May 14, 2007 the City Council awarded the Lake Drive /I -35W Improvement Project <br />to Lunda Construction Company in the amount of $7,531,701.71. <br />During the course of final inspections erosion failures were identified adjacent to County <br />Ditch 10 -22 -32 at the southern end of the project. Following review with the Rice Creek <br />Watershed District, Mn /DOT and project engineers a repair plan was designed to <br />remedy the situation. <br />Change Order No. 18 directs the contractor to furnish all equipment, materials and <br />labor necessary to repair the identified areas at an estimated cost of $4,500. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff is recommending approval of Resolution No. 09 -74. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />1.
