Lease for Presbyterian Church at the Senior Center — Acting Administrator Tesch <br />59 reported on that the Lino Lakes Seniors have been approached by the Chain of Lakes New <br />60 Church Development requesting a 12 -month lease to hold church services at the Senior Center. <br />61 A proposed lease agreement is presented for council consideration. Mr. Tesch noted that the <br />62 date that the lease will commence will be updated based on when the property actually becomes <br />63 available. <br />64 <br />65 Council Member Gallup moved that the lease, as presented, be executed. Council Member <br />66 O'Donnell seconded the motion. Lodging Tax <br />79 <br />80 i.) Consider Second Reading of Ordinance No. 07 -09 Imposing <br />81 a Tax Upon Lodging <br />82 <br />83 Economic Development Coordinator Divine recalled that the city has been asked to participate <br />84 in a new convention and visitors bureau called Minnesota Metro North Tourism that is being <br />85 established to promote participating cities in the Anoka and Ramsay County area. Funding for <br />86 this organization would come from a 3% lodging tax collected through lodging properties in <br />87 those communities. She pointed out that both of the hotels in Lino Lakes have submitted letters <br />88 requesting that the council proceed with this action. <br />89 <br />90 Council Member Gallup moved to dispense with full reading of the ordinance.
