•
•
•
Environmental
Memo
To: Jeff Smyser
From: Marty Asleson
CC: EB Members
Date: 4/28/01
Re: April Environmental Board Meeting /Agenda Item Recommendations
1. Pinnacle Towers
The Environmental Board recommended by consensus that there should be no
expansion or improvement upon any wireless communication tower in Lino Lakes
until such time as an approved city -wide plan is in place.
This was a consensus recommendation.
2. Draft Land Use Plan
The Environmental Board made the following additional comments, in addition to the
comments received by the City on April 17, 2001, on the Draft Comprehensive Plan:
• Lake Colors on the Maps should reflect a color other than green. The greenways
are presented as green, so perhaps the lakes should be colored as blue.
• The growth areas are getting larger, not smaller, as would be appropriate. The
Environmental Board would like The City to please refer to resolution to forward
comments on the comprehensive plan to the City Council dated April 11, 2001
and to note that the disparity between the board's recommendations or concerns
in the April 11, 2001, and to note that none of the concerns in the April 11
comments are addressed in the new land use maps, and that the disparity
between the board" recommendations and the comprehensive plan is increased
rather than decreased.
• Page 1
