• <br />• <br />• <br />• The Environmental Board reflected a certain level of concern for accuracy of the <br />maps. Example: Land tied up in permanent Conservation Land Trust on Amelia <br />Lake is depicted as future "sewered ", and land- locked parcel on the East side of <br />Amelia Lake is also shown as sewered. <br />• The Environmental Board requested that the letter from Art Hawkins dated April <br />23, 2001 be attached to the Environmental Board comments dated 4/11/01. <br />3. 64th and 20 Th Ave comments <br />The Environmental Board reviewed the proposed construction of a house at 64th and <br />20th Avenue. The Environmental Board expressed no concern for the variance <br />request by the property owner, but did express concern for possible environmental <br />impacts should the property owner proceed with the project. The Environmental <br />Board expressed concern that the property owner had not made application to the <br />Vadnais Lakes Watershed District. The Environmental Board expressed concern for <br />construction of anything in a defined Lake Protection Zone. Should a wetland fill <br />approval be given, the Environmental Board stated the property owner should design <br />the site to confine impervious surface water runoff to the site as much as possible. <br />The concerns of the Environmental Board include pollution runoff, appropriate septic <br />system design, and the general construction in relation to wetlands that boarder a <br />natural resources lake and a rare poor fen. <br />The Environmental Board requested that the property owner return to the <br />Environmental Board with plans once the watershed information has been resolved. <br />Vote: Tabled pending further information <br />4. Saddle Club Preliminary Plat <br />Recommendation of approval of the Preliminary Plat with the following comments: <br />• The Tree Preservation needs to be better well defined. Species were not <br />indicated, just numbers. Note —The Environmental Coordinator has an electronic <br />copy of the Tree Inventory with species indicated. <br />• Special concern for another 70 houses platted, with reference to the "147" units <br />per year figure, and the number of units approved in the last year. <br />• Shrink lots down if possible, in particular lots in Block 2 so that this area can be <br />included in the greenway. <br />Vote 5 to 1 in favor of approval, Mike Trehus voting against. <br />5.
