• <br />• <br />All Approved. <br />Recommendations made by Staff: <br />• Redesign Surface Water plan. Use Barr Engineering BMP Manual. Reduce <br />hydraulic spiking in ponding situations. Use infiltration /ponding design in areas <br />where they would be effective and non - polluting <br />• Reduce Lots /or cluster Houses. Use rest of the island for Surface water <br />treatment including buffering. <br />• Move swale idea to South side of island. Incorporate rainpond idea into treatment <br />train along proposed road to flow water to the infiltration area on East End of the <br />Island. <br />• Produce tree inventory. Needed for planning. <br />• Replace Trees lost in areas of disturbance. <br />• Restore all areas disturbed for road /bridge and surface water treatment/infiltration <br />with native tree shrub and ground story vegetation. Materials replaced to be <br />determined by inventory, and species list specified by the City. <br />• Incorporate on -lot infiltration practices as described in Barr Engineering BMP <br />manual. <br />• Use BMP's for sequencing as described in the Barr Engineering BMP Manual. <br />Develop a management plan based on this manual. Plan should include <br />protection measures for trees, vegetation, swale and infiltration areas, and <br />erosion control measures. <br />• Submit a 5 -year management plan that uses the services of a company <br />experienced in native plant re- establishment. Show financial commitment for this <br />management. <br />• Initiate covenants with homeowner association for the protection of vegetation, <br />and the prohibiting of vegetation removal. <br />• Place areas of the island in land trust as an alternative to covenants. <br />• Develop an education program for new residents moving on the island. Brochure <br />information at the least should be developed describing vegetation management. <br />• Page 2 <br />
