The <br />motion was supported by Ms. Lane. <br />Mr. Lyden wished to ask the applicant if he was interested in this matter being tabled. <br />Chair Schaps stated there was a motion of the floor that the Board should take action on. <br />Mr. Lyden asked Mr. Corson if he would be willing to withdraw his motion. <br />Mr. Smyser stated that the issue regarding the impending moratorium was crucial. He <br />indicated if the project is not forwarded to the City Council before the next Planning and <br />Zoning Board meeting there was no chance of the project being considered by the <br />Council prior to the moratorium. This pri arily means the Subdivision Ordinance and the Zoning Ordinance. In <br />order to complete these amendments efficiently, a task force is being assembled. <br />Staff reviewed the membership and purpose of the task force which will meet once a <br />month to consider a new Subdivision Ordinance first, then the Zoning Ordinance. The <br />task force will not be revising the comprehensive plan. <br />In addition, staff has arranged to have Government Training Service conduct a special <br />workshop at Lino Lakes City Hall. The workshop will cover the fundamentals of land <br />use planning and regulation. Task force members must attend this workshop. This is set <br />for Saturday, January 26, 2002 at 8:30 a.m. and will be an all -day workshop. <br />Staff explained the procedure that will be used and that when all pieces of the ordinance <br />have been reviewed by the task force, the entire ordinance will be brought to each Board <br />
