ENVIRONMENTAL BOARD MEETING JUNE 28, 2006 4 APPROVED MINUTES recycle bag. Board would like to do something to promote the Environmental Board. Ms. Bor stated that the board could also pass out literature on the “Garden Club.” Ms. Bor stated that there are two sisters at Waldoch that would like to help with the “Garden Club.” Mr. Alseson will need to talk to Ms. Divine about garden club Ms. Bor will look into getting a tractor and wagon for the parade. The board wants to be at the end of parade. Ms. Hogstad will check into t-shirts for the board and the price for this. Board could pay $5.00 or so a shirt. Ms. Hogstad will also sign up board for parade. Ms. Hogstad will contact board regarding sizes of shirts and if anyone would like to order extras and pay for them. Ms. Bor will talk to Waldoch’s and see if they can do anything for us. Ms. Brouillet and Ms. Norman will check into making banner and how much. Ms. Bor asked Ms. Hogstad to contact parade committee to check if we would be able to have the tractor at end of parade. Add this to next meeting discussion items. E. Other Updates None. F. Add Growing Green Workshop Conferences Barbara Bor gave a brief summary of the Growing Green Workshop. She stated the conference was a good experience. Mike Grochala represented our city very well. A few Hugo council members present at the workshop asked Ms. Bor how we follow through with Environmental Board issues. Mr. Asleson stated that we make little accomplishments over a period of time. It really adds up. You all have been working off each other and changed how the board works for the better. Mr. Grochala and Mr. Smyser picked up a booklet that we should put in our library. There is a CD from the Growing Green Workshop and Ms. Bor will make copies for the Board. Ms. Bor reviewed items 1-8 on the conference agenda. 7. ADJOURN
