• <br />Drainage. The removal of surface water or groundwater from land by drains, <br />grading or other means which include runoff controls to minimize erosion and <br />sedimentation during and after construction or development, the means for <br />preserving the water supply and the prevention or alleviation of flooding. <br />Drainage System. Any natural or artificial feature or structure used for the <br />conveyance, drainage, or storage of surface and /or underground water, <br />including, but not limited to, streams, rivers, creeks, ditches, channels, conduits, <br />gullies, ravines, washes, lakes or ponds and structures such as culverts, <br />drainage tile, dams, bridges and water storage basins. <br />Drainageway.
