'A wetland delineation was completed in May 2003 by the developer of the proposed site. Type 2
wetlands (1.5 acres) were identified on the southern portion of the site. The proposed plan will not
require the alteration of the wetlands on the site. In the event future development does encroach upon
on -site wetlands, under the Minnesota Wetland Conservation Act (WCA) the Rice Creek Watershed
District (RCWD) acts as the LGU for wetland impacts. The RCWD will assume wetland alteration
permit authority over any wetland impacts.
Anoka County Ditch No. 10 will be preserved in its existing condition.
13. Water use. Will the project involve installation or abandonment of any water wells, connection to
or changes in any public water supply or appropriation of any ground or surface water
(including dewatering)? X Yes _No
If yes, as applicable, give location and purpose of any new wells; public supply affected, changes
to be made, and water quantities to be used; the source, duration, quantity and purpose of any
appropriations; and unique well numbers and DNR appropriation permit numbers, if known.
Identify any existing and new wells on the site map. If there are no we lls known on site, explain
methodology used to determine.
The proposed development will be served by the existing municipal water supply and will not require
any wells.
.The installation of sanitary sewer, storm water systems, and watermains may require isolated
dewatering in order to install the underground utilities. It is unknown at this time how much
dewatering will be required. If substantial dewatering is required, the responsible party for the
development will be required to obtain a permit from the DNR.
Development of the site will require connection to the City of Lino Lakes' municipal water system.
The municipal water system has a firm capacity of 5.135 million gallons per day. The average daily
use is currently estimated to be 1.0 million gallons per day. It is estimated that, when fully developed,
the project area will require an average of 34,000 gallons per day.
14. Water- related land use management district. Does any part of the project involve a shoreland
zoning district, a delineated 100 -year flood plain, or a state or federally designated wild or scenic
river land use district? X Yes _No
If yes, identify the district and discuss project compatibility with district land use restrictions.
The very eastern portion of the site is located within the designated shoreland zoning district for
Marshan Lake. The City has adopted a shoreland and a floodplain ordinance that regulates
development within these designated areas. The DNR has approved these ordinances. The proposed
development will be in compliance with the standards of these ordinances.
15. Water surface use. Will the project change the number or type of watercraft on any water body?
Yes X No
If yes, indicate the current and projected watercraft usage and discuss any potential
overcrowding or conflicts with other uses.
Lakes Business Park EAW — July 21, 2003 13
Lino Lakes, MN
