No.
From: Scott A. Brink, P.E. Routing:
Date: November 5, 2003
City of Lino Lakes, Minnesota
12701 -002
The City of Lino Lakes has received plans providing for reconstruction of the existing VFW facility site at
the intersection of Lois Lane and Lake Drive. The following document copies have been provided for
review:
1. Land Use Application dated October 13, 2003.
2. Full size and 11X17-size Preliminary Plan sets (12 sheets) dated October 9, 2003.
• 3. Letter to the City of Lino Lakes from Anoka County dated September 22, 2003.
4. Drainage Calculations from Metro Land Surveying dated October 14, 2003, along with a letter from
Metro dated October 8, 2003.
A new VFW facility is proposed at its existing location at the northeast corner of Lake Drive and Lois Lane.
The proposed plan provides for demolition of the existing building and construction of a new building with
improved driveways and parking facilities. The area of the site is approximately 2.25 acres, and will
therefore be subject to the requirements of NPDES (National Pollution Discharge Elimination System) as
most recently adopted by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) and the City of Lino Lakes.
Because the site is less than 2.5 acres, it is our understanding that a review and approval of the Rice Creek
Watershed District (RCWD) will not be required.
The following review comments are offered at this time:
Anoka County
Because the property is adjacent to Lake Drive (County Road 23), the plan will require the review and
approval of Anoka County. The County has provided review comments in a letter to the City dated
September 22, 2003. A summary of the County's comments is as follows:
An Employee Owned Company Promoting Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity
