I have not identified any areas that are going to be a
problem at this time. As with all planting materials, maintance is a key. If the trees and
shrubs are allowed to become overgrown, natural surveillance will be compromised.
The lighting plan is complete and looks good.
Traffic impact: I don't foresee an immediate problem with traffic during the week. The
turn lane into the complex should control traffic in and out of the parking lot. Sunday
traffic has a good likelihood of backing up onto 20th Ave and on the ramps to 35E.
Before and after services are times that I see traffic backing up. This is due to the large
number of vehicles that are predicted to respond to church.
• I have reviewed the traffic impact study, and I concur with its findings.
• Traffic officers would have to be used to reduce the wait times and increase safety
at all involved intersections.
• Safety of the officer's is paramount.
• During low light and inclement weather, intersections with poor or no lighting
would have to be up graded with lights, to allow motorists to see traffic officers in
the intersection.
Traffic officers will not completely solve the traffic problem, but it should aid in the
reduction of wait times.
Circle -Lex VFW Post #6583
I would like to see some info on the lighting that is proposed for this project.
Wall mounts should be discouraged as they have a tendency to blind people that are
approaching, and reduces natural surveillance from passing motorists, neighbors and law
enforcement.
What, if any, improvements are planed for Lake Dr?
A turn lane into the property would reduce possible rear end situations.
Building placement could cause a sight view problem from Lois Lane to Lake Dr.
640 Town Center Parkway • Lino Lakes, Minnesota • 55014 -1182
Public Administration /Records: 651 - 982 -2300 • Fax: 651 - 982 -2399
