Topic: Circle -Lex VFW Post 6583, 7868 Lake Drive, Site Plan Review Recommendations: The Environmental Board made the following recommendations of the VFW proposal at their October 29, 2003 meeting: • Parking should be reduced to the city minimum, or the VFW should use pervious paving. • Soil- compaction protection measures should be used during construction. • Staff should confirm that the lighting plan conforms to city ordinance. • Use City seed specifications for native plant areas. • Remove existing lighted sign. • Plant Northern pin oaks instead of Summit ash • Agree to clean exhaust vents in a non - polluting manner. • Develop a maintenance plan for native plant areas and frequent parking lot sweeping.
