• Prescribed burning plan will be implemented in the early second quarter of year two (i.e. April and May); • Existing degraded native communities will be seeded with appropriate native seed mix during the third and fourth quarters of the year; • Wetland mitigation areas will be monitored during second through fourth quarters of the year; • Reseeded degraded native communities will be monitored during the second through fourth quarters of the year; • Known locations of endangered plant populations will be monitored during the second and third quarters of the year; and • A wetland mitigation monitoring report will be completed during the fourth quarter of the year. Year Four (January 1 through December 31, 2009) Restoration and Management Tasks • Reed canary grass will be chemically treated with Glyphosate in the fall (third quarter and fourth), so that the herbicide is translocated into the root systems. Monotypes of reed canary grass will be treated with a boom sprayer. Small patches of reed canary grass will be chemically treated with Sethoxydim grass - specific herbicides, to minimize impacts to associated native grasses and forbs. Spot treatment of reed canary grass will be accomplished with a backpack sprayer to limit /eliminate overspray; • Cattail monotypes will be mowed and de- thatched in the first quarter of year two (during frozen conditions) and chemically treated with Glyphosate in the spring and /or fall.
