Section 2 Subd. 10. PUD DRAFT AMENDMENTS May 2011 <br />1 Subd. 10. PUD, Planned Unit Development <br />A. Purpose and Intent. The purpose of this section of the Zoning Ordinance is to <br />introduce the planned unit development (PUD), a means of providing for flexibility of <br />site design and architecture in order to promote the goals and public values outlined <br />in the Comprehensive plan and to serve public purposes. <br />The intent is that: <br />1. A PUD can allow deviation from the strict provisions of this Ordinance and other <br />official controls related to setbacks, heights, lot area, width and depths, yards, <br />street widths, density, etc., in order to provide for the grouping of lots or buildings <br />for development as an integrated, coordinated unit as opposed to traditional <br />parcel by parcel, piecemeal, or sporadic approach to development.
