Planning & Zoning Board <br />May 11, 2011 <br />Page 2 <br />March 9, 2011 <br />Due to lack of a quorum of board members who were present at the March meeting, the <br />board was unable to vote on the March minutes. Therefore the minutes were tabled to the <br />next board meeting. <br />IV. OPEN MIKE <br />Chair Tralle declared Open Mike at 6:36 p.m. <br />There was no one present for Open Mike. <br />Mr. Pogalz made a MOTION to close Open Mike at 6:37 p.m. Motion was supported by <br />Mr. Nelson. Motion carried 5 - 0. <br />V. ACTION ITEMS <br />A. PUBLIC HEARING to consider Amending the Conditional Use Permit for a <br />motor fuel station to allow for the installation of new gas pumps and canopy, <br />located at 7997 Lake Drive <br />City Planner, Jeff Smyser, presented the staff report. Staff recommended continuation of <br />the CUP Amendment as staff was awaiting additional information from the applicant. <br />Chair Tralle declared the Public Hearing open at 6:37 p.m. <br />There was no one present to speak. <br />Mr. Pogalz made a MOTION at 6:38 p.m. to continue the Public Hearing to the next <br />meeting. Motion was supported by Mr. Nelson. Motion carried 5 - 0. <br />B. PUBLIC HEARING to consider Amending Section 2 of the Zoning Ordinance <br />which includes requirements for zoning amendments, conditional use permits, <br />interim use permits, variances and appeals, administrative permits, site and <br />building plan reviews, and planned unit developments <br />City Planner, Jeff Smyser, presented the staff report. Staff distributed revised text due to <br />an amendment by the MN State Legislature regarding variances. <br />Staff addressed questions of the board. <br />Chair Tralle declared the Public Hearing open at 7:53 p.m. <br />There was no one present to speak. <br />Board Members discussed and proposed a number of changes to the text. <br />DRAFT MINUTES <br />• <br />• <br />
