Planning & Zoning Board <br />June 13, 2012 <br />Page 2 <br />Vice Chair Hyden declared Open Mike at 6:35 p.m. <br />There was no one present for Open Mike. <br />Mr. Hyden closed Open Mike at 6:36 p.m. <br />VI. ACTION ITEMS <br />A. PUBLIC HEARING to consider an Interim Use Permit to allow accessory <br />outdoor storage at 7301 Apollo Ct. <br />Paul Bengtson, Associate Planner, presented the staff report. Staff recommended <br />approval of the Zoning Ordinance Amendment with conditions as listed in the staff <br />report. <br />Staff addressed questions of the board, inc . i the reason for a 5- year "urrim use limit, <br />which is to get a business established and e uire the to enclose their storage or <br />move as the business grows. Staff noted that the fired setbacks and conditions are <br />consistent with the Light Industrial ordinance chart at are being considered by the <br />board later in the meeting. <br />Vice Chair Hyden declared the Public Hearing open at 6:43- <br />Attorney Bill Griffith, representing business owner Mark Dietz, addressed the board and <br />noted that product manufacturing occurs inside and staging for delivery occurs outdoors. <br />The company has 22 employees and saw 0 % growth in the past year They are asking <br />for a 10 -year sunset. <br />Mark !' .wner of Lakes Building Components, stated that they agree to the <br />co 't <br />unsure of the company's future growth, therefore requesting an <br />extended term on the interim use time limit. <br />ii <br />Mt. John Freimuth, 7381 Jon enue, stated that he has complained to the city about the <br />diesel forklift that starts as early as 6 a.m. He commented that the city should not be <br />rewarding businesses not doing what they should have done in the first place. <br />Mr. Root ma TION to close the Public Hearing at 7:04 p.m. Motion was <br />��> <br />supported by Mi : Evenson. Motion carried 4 - 0. <br />Mr. Root made a MOTION to recommend approval of the Interim Use Permit to allow <br />accessory outdoor storage at 7301 Apollo Court based on the following conditions: <br />1.
