CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION DECEMBER 13, 2000 <br />Mayor Bergeson suggested Mr. Molin submits an application noting the City process <br />• must be followed to amend the CUP. <br />• <br />• <br />Mr. Molin stated that on several occasions, the company has received complaints about <br />noise that has nothing to do with Molin. He stated he wants the Council to understand <br />that Molin has aggressively tried to reduce as much noise as possible. The City did send <br />the police out to do a sound check. The sound level tested too high but the test was not <br />done correctly. He stated he does not want that test held against Molin. He added that he <br />has given staff testing reports from a sound test that was done correctly. <br />TOWN CENTER UPDATE, MARY ALICE DIVINE <br />Staff advised a discussion regarding the Town Center was held Monday night. The City <br />Council and staff have been invited to a reception at the Metropolitan Council on <br />Wednesday, December 20, 2000, 2:00 p.m. The reception is being held for the grant <br />recipients. <br />The Economic Development Director stated the schedule for Target has been put back <br />one month. A revised schedule will be distributed to Council when it is received. The <br />grading is scheduled for July 2001 with an opening date of July 2002. A neighborhood <br />meeting has been set up for Wednesday, December 20, 2000. A meeting with the <br />Environmental Board will take place in January 2001. A formal review with the Planning <br />and Zoning Board will take place in February 2001. A target representative will be <br />present on January 3, 2001, to discuss the project. <br />CSAH 49 RECONSTRUCTION, JOHN POWELL <br />Staff advised the County Engineer has received the letter and resolution from the City and <br />has indicated he is willing to attend a joint meeting. <br />COMPREHENSIVE PLAN UPDATE, LINDA WAITE SMITH <br />Staff advised the Council needs to schedule additional meetings to discuss the <br />Comprehensive Plan. It was suggested that the Council meet on the off Wednesdays in <br />January 2001. <br />Council directed staff to tentatively schedule Comprehensive Plan work sessions on <br />January 10 and January 24, 2001, 6:00 p.m. <br />Staff advised Chair John Sullivan from the Charter Commission is expecting to have a <br />joint meeting with the Council on January 11, 2001. Staff added they are attending a <br />meeting tomorrow regarding the Community Block Grant. <br />
