oTKDA
•
TOLTZ, KING, DUVALL, ANDERSON
AND ASSOCIATES, INCORPORATED
ENGINEERS • ARCHITECTS • PLANNERS
MEMORANDUM
To:
1500 PIPER JAFFRAY PLAZA
444 CEDAR STREET
SAINT PAUL, MINNESOTA 55101 -2140
PHONE: 651 /292 -4400 FAX: 651 /292 -0083
Excellence `-
John Powell Reference: Summit Fire Protection
Copies To:
From: Jason Wedel
Lino Lakes, Minnesota
Date: January 23, 2001 Commission No. 11985 -012
I have reviewed the preliminary plans for Summit Fire Protection received on January 12, 2001.
I have the following comments:
1. The City minimum watermain size is 8 -inch DIP, Class 52.
2. All storm sewer must be RCP.
3. The size and type of sanitary sewer must be noted on the plans including lengths,
elevations, and grades.
4. The elevations, lengths, and grades of the storm sewer connections to the proposed
building must be shown.
5. The storm sewer structure labeled CB2 appears to be located behind the curb.
6. Pipe Foundation, Pipe Bedding, Sanitary Sewer, Concrete Curb & Gutter, and Sanitary
Sewer Service details must be added to the plans.
7. An 8" x 6" reducer needs to be shown along the front of the building for the change in
watermain size between the service to the building and the fire hydrant.
8. The proposed grading is not contained within the plat.
9. The Normal Water Level and the High Water Level for the pond must be shown on the
grading plan.
10. The drainage calculations state that the emergency overflow for the pond is at 905.7 at
the north driveway, however, according to the grading plan the pond will overflow at
approximately 901.5 and flow to the west. This elevation would still be above the 100 -
year high water elevation of 900.3.
11. What is the purpose of the berm on the west side of the property?
If you have any questions or comments regarding this review, please contact me.
An Equal Opportunity Employer
