Unfortunately, Ramsey County will not
be able to fund the proposed paving improvements and meet a project schedule in the fall
of 2007. Currently we have over exceeded our maintenance paving budget for 2007. In
addition, we believe that the amount of work that needs to be done at this intersection
cannot be completed this fall. We are very concerned that we would not have adequate
time to get this project completed prior to freeze -up.
As an alternative proposal, I have had a meeting with our Maintenance and Engineering
staff and have come up with a modified schedule to construct this project in 2008.
Ramsey County maintenance would conduct the milling and overlay work and be able to
properly fund the proposed project. Doing the work in 2008 will allow the County to
apply adequate forces and equipment to get the project completed and allow us to
designate the funding in our 2008 program
Minnesota's First Home Rule County
printed on recycled paper with a minimum of lo% post - consumer content
