Planning & Zoning Board
August 8, 2007
Page 4
Mr. Tralle commented on the retail building on Main Street, asking that they tweak the
traffic flows and use Old Otter Lake road as an access, possibly for large vehicles. Ms.
Anderson displayed a visual example of how the site will layout in conjunction with the
highway. She added that a drive- through is proposed for the coffee shop.
Ms. Anderson stated that the city has provided a clear direction for them, and they are
getting excited and anxious. They would like to be very complete with their project.
The board thanked the developer and architect for their presentation.
B. Update on Comprehensive Plan
Mr. Smyser stated that the Advisory Panel took a bus tour on July 18, in which panel
members were asked to comment on specific areas of the city. He noted that staff and
consultants are working to review the comments and compile draft land use alternatives.
Mr. Smyser said they received good feedback from the panel. He added that the next
meeting is on August 22, when staff will present a future land use map with alternatives.
Mr. Smyser asked board members for comments on the bus tour. Board members
commented that it went well and it was eye opening to see areas of the city they are not
familiar with.
VII. ADJOURNMENT
Mr. Pogalz made a MOTION to adjourn the meeting at 7:54 p.m. Motion was supported
by Mr. Nelson. Motion carried 5 -0.
Respectfully submitted,
Dawn Bugge
Community Development Assistant
DRAFT MINUTES
•
•
