•
Vaughan's 1st Addition Page 2 December 3, 2007
Drainage Calculation Review
City of Lino Lakes, Minnesota
5. A three foot (3') minimum separation is required from the bottom of the infiltration basin to
the seasonally high groundwater. Based on the submitted soil borings, the seasonal high
groundwater was observed at approximately two feet (2') below existing grade.
6. The City may require the Applicant to submit an alternative design for this site. The final
development plan alternative will need to demonstrate that floodplain fill, disturbance within
the 75 foot shoreland impact zone, and encroachment of the building structure in the 150
structure setback is minimized.
The following are minor plan, calculations, and drafting corrections that must be addressed prior to final
approval:
1. FEMA determines the Zone A flood insurance rate zone by approximate methods of analysis only.
Because no detailed hydraulic analyses have been performed, no base flood elevations are shown
within this zone. Clarify how the FEMA flood zone A elevation of 886.0, as labeled on the Grading
Plan, was determined.
2. Label Rough Grouse Street on the plan.
3. Show the location of the rock construction entrance and inlet protection on the Grading Plan.
il4. Include a silt fence detail and inlet protection detail on the Plan.
5. Include a note on the Plans indicating that all adjacent streets must be inspected daily and swept
clean of sediment tracked from the site.
6. If an NPDES permit is required for this site, submit a copy of the permit for the City's records
when available.
7. Contact Rice Creek Watershed District to determine if a permit is required for this project. If
required, submit a copy of the RCWD permit for the City's records when available.
Additional Items (12/03/07):
8. Show the soil boring locations on the Plans.
9. Label the wetland buffer on the Plan.
10. The "Ordinary High Water Elevation" callout on the Grading Plan, Sheet 3, should be
labeled as a "100 -year high water elevation ".
11. Any disturbance within the wetland buffer area shall be restored with native vegetation.
12. The silt fence encroaches on the wetland delineation boundary at the northeast corner of the
• lot. Revise the drawing to show the silt fence outside of the wetland delineation boundary.
13. Label the infiltration basin on the Plan.
