Phase 2 - Maintenance and Adaptive Management: Years 5 -10+ <br />Phase 2 of this restoration and management plan focuses on actions, which build on ecological <br />improvements that were accomplished during the first five years of site management. Phase 2 <br />also includes implementation of regular maintenance and monitoring, and augmentation of <br />species diversity within establishing native communities and restoration areas. <br />Phase 2 Management Priorities: <br />1) Monitoring and spot treatment of invasive species populations and effectiveness of <br />management practices; <br />2) Prescribed burning of prairies, wetlands, savannas, and woodland edges; <br />3) Native seed collection and dispersal within restored natural areas; <br />4) Monitoring of restoration successes and failures, vegetation diversity, and wildlife use; <br />5) Monitoring and resolution of residential encroachment into conservation areas, <br />unauthorized uses of conservation areas, and negative impacts associated with trail use <br />and maintenance; <br />6) Coordination among the Foxborough Homeowners Association, the City of Lino Lakes, <br />the project ecologist, and other project stakeholders to update management plan and <br />priorities, and allocated restoration and management resources. <br />Table 3.
