Phase 2 - Maintenance and Adaptive Management: Years 5 -10+ Phase 2 of this restoration and management plan focuses on actions, which build on ecological improvements that were accomplished during the first five years of site management. Phase 2 also includes implementation of regular maintenance and monitoring, and augmentation of species diversity within establishing native communities and restoration areas. Phase 2 Management Priorities: 1) Monitoring and spot treatment of invasive species populations and effectiveness of management practices; 2) Prescribed burning of prairies, wetlands, savannas, and woodland edges; 3) Native seed collection and dispersal within restored natural areas; 4) Monitoring of restoration successes and failures, vegetation diversity, and wildlife use; 5) Monitoring and resolution of residential encroachment into conservation areas, unauthorized uses of conservation areas, and negative impacts associated with trail use and maintenance; 6) Coordination among the Foxborough Homeowners Association, the City of Lino Lakes, the project ecologist, and other project stakeholders to update management plan and priorities, and allocated restoration and management resources. Repeat as necessary. Spring through Fall 2010 through 2015 Native Seed Collection and Dispersal Collect native seed from established native restoration areas and disperse, as needed to similar suitable habitats within the conservation area. Annually 2010 through 2015 Coordination Among Stakeholders Coordinate among Foxborough's Homeowners Association, the City of Lino Lakes, consulting ecologists, and other stakeholders. Prioritize the use of limited management resources within the conservation areas. Annually 2010 through 2015 Monitor Conservation Area Boundaries and Trail Easement Monitor conservation area / residential lot common boundary, as well as trail easement for signage integrity and encroachment of non-conforming uses into conservation area. Resolve issues of non - conforming uses and boundaries. Annually 2010 through 2015 Monitoring and Adaptive Management Monitor restoration areas and identify problem areas.
