• <br />• <br />• <br />ENVIRONMENTAL BOARD MEETING October 24, 2012 <br />Mr. Ulbricht stated they will inform haulers after the business site visits of their <br />findings. <br />Ms. Bor stated she would like to invite Ms. Ulbricht and Ms. Lee to an upcoming <br />City Council meeting to present their findings and show their progress when the <br />Environmental Board presents their 2013 goals. <br />B. Environmental Board Goals 2013 <br />The following are the proposed 2012 EB Goals with changes from Board <br />members: <br />• Promote environmental stewardship with the citizens of Lino Lakes by <br />communicating environmental initiatives in the city using various means of <br />communication such as: <br />• City /County Web Pages <br />• Newsletter <br />Spring <br />Summer <br />Fall <br />Winter <br />• Homeowner's association meetings and publishing on their websites. <br />• Press Coverage <br />• Earth Day <br />• Arbor Day <br />• Recycling Day — (May 4th) <br />• Partner with Anoka County and the School District with a focus on <br />Recycling <br />• Participate in Blue Heron Days (August), providing public service <br />educational material to the public if the opportunity presents itself <br />• Participate in Earth Day (April) activities in the community, promoting <br />environmental awareness and collaboration with other environmental <br />focused organizations. Offer Build Your Own Rain Barrel Workshop. <br />• Communicate with our residents for conservation workshops offered in <br />our area. <br />• Monitor any activity in the AUAR as well as other proposed development <br />areas, focusing on the values Lino Lakes citizens have expressed in the <br />vision for our city and the unique ecological aspects of our wetlands, lakes <br />and streams and subsurface waters. Apply mitigation plan as defined for <br />that area. Be involved in any review /updates of the AUAR. <br />DRAFT MINUTES 5 <br />
