Lino Lakes Public Services Department 600 Town Center Parkway Lino Lakes, MN 55014 (651) 982 -2440 Fax (651) 982 -2439 December 11, 2003 TO: Park Board Members FROM: Rick DeGardner, Public Services Director SUBJECT: 2004 Goal Setting Meeting Information Enclosed is the following information pertaining to 2004 Goal Setting meeting that will be held in the Community Room immediately following the January 5, 2004 Park Board meeting: • Park Dedication Fund Summary Dated December 9, 2003 • Needed Neighborhood Park Improvements Dated July 7, 2002 • Park Board Goals Sheets from 2001, 2002, and 2003 Please put in some thought on proposed goals for the upcoming year so we can have a productive discussion January 5th. Assuming the goals are formally approved at the February 2nd , 2004 Park Board meeting, it is expected that the Park Board will present the goals to the City Council during the February 4th or February 18th City Council Work Session. I have identified some potential projects that have been previously discussed and /or I feel merit discussion: • Complete trails along Birch Street and Hodgson Road in conjunction with intersection improvements • Survey Arena Acres area residents regarding existing tennis courts • Birchwood Acres Park development • Open Air Shelters at parks (ie. Behms, Highland Meadows) • Pheasant Hills Park connection to Sherman Lake Road — Trail and Bridge • Birch Park Trail Extension - Boardwalk to Shelter to parking lot • Extend Glenview Lane Trail to Sunrise Park parking lot Please bring this packet with you to the January 5th meeting.
