CITY''E OF
N KE
Lino Lakes Parks and Recreation Department
600 Town Center Parkway
Lino Lakes, MN 55014
(651) 982 -2440 Fax (651) 982 -2439
www.ci.lino - lakes.mn.us
/0k
January 26, 2004
TO: Park Board Members
FROM: Rick DeGardner, Public Services Director
SUBJECT: Discuss and Approve 2004 Park Board Goals
The Park Board discussed several potential projects for 2004 at last month's Park Board
Meeting. At the Park Board's request, I have provided additional information regarding the
potential sale of LaMotte Park and the possible trails serving the Stoneybrook Development. I
have attached a memo relating to these two items.
I have also provided a Park Dedication Fund Summary, which reflects the tentative approvals the
Park Board made last month. Specifically the projects include:
❖ Extending Glenview Lane trail to Sunrise Park parking lot
❖ Pave Birch Park trail — boardwalk to parking lot
❖ Designate Raven's Hollow Park Dedication Funds to future Birchwood Acres Park
development
❖ Construct trails at Birch Street/Hodgson Road intersection
The updated Park Dedication Fund Summary also includes the Comprehensive Park System Plan
Update and costs associated with the Holly Drive Improvement Project.
Assuming the 2004 Park Board Goals are approved at the upcoming Park Board Meeting, it is
expected that the Park Board will present the goals to the City Council during the March 3 City
Council Work Session.
Please bring along the packet of information that was included in last month's Park Board packet
related to the 2004 Goal Setting Meeting information.
sw /parkbrd/meeting info/Discuss and Approve 2004 Park Board Goals.doc
•
