Jeff Shoenbauer will <br />present a 10 -15 minute presentation followed by an opportunity to comment on issues and <br />concerns related to park, greenways, trails, and recreation programs and services. The following <br />information was on the front page of the City Newsletter, which was sent out last week. <br />Citizen input sought <br />New Parks and trails plan will focus on implementation <br />On Monday, June 7th from 7 to 8 p.m. at City Hall, the public is invited to attend an open house <br />related to the updating of the Parks, Greenway, and Tail System Plan for the City of Lino Lakes. <br />After a short presentation by City staff and the City's planning consultant, attendees will be <br />given an opportunity to comment on issues and concerns related to parks, greenways, trails, and <br />recreation programs and services. <br />The objective of the planning process is to tie together various plans that the City has developed <br />over the years into a cohesive vision for the future. The new plan will focus extensively on the: <br />• Park system <br />• Greenway (natural open space) system <br />• Natural resource stewardship <br />The plan will also focus extensively on developing implementation strategies in order to make <br />the plan a reality. <br />To date, the City Council, Park Board, Environmental Board, and Planning and Zoning Board <br />have had an initial meeting to discuss the planning process and initial results. Now it is time to <br />give citizens a chance to comment on system planning issues. <br />Everyone is encouraged to attend, including recreation associations, residents, land owners, <br />developers, and special interest groups.
