(usually
with our tanker truck.)
✓ Equipment maintenance and repairs as needed.
✓ Hockey goal and net repair as needed.
✓ Building maintenance — cleaned and restocked warming houses as needed.
✓ Shenandoah Park:
- Completed tree removal along front boulevard.
- Stump ground approximately 25 stumps.
✓ Rice Lake Elementary tunnel:
Well it's that time again. Late February, you know tunnel flooding time,
thankfully with the lack of snow this winter the tunnel hasn't accumulated too
much runoff and we have been able to keep it in relatively good shape. We will
continue to monitor it daily until spring.
✓ Cleaned and prepared wood duck houses for spring nesting season.
- Out of 50 boxes approximately 30 were used by wood ducks. Twenty one of
those boxes successfully hatched approximately 140 ducklings.
✓ Miscellaneous shop projects.
- New work bench.
- Cleaned and organized shop.
✓ Brush and tree removal.
Removed Willow and Box Elder from a restored wetland area. (Clearwater Creek
wetland bank). The trees were beginning to overtake the native grasses in this
restored area. We hope to burn this area in the spring to encourage the grasses
while suppressing the woody invaders.
